MASTER MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II - HVAC/R
You will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on Industrial and Commercial HVAC Refrigeration equipment including but not limited to: Frick, York, Trane, Howden and Vilter compressor packages ranging in size from 5 to 2200 tons. Other duties include:
- Responsible for compressor packages and /or Centrifugal, Reciprocating and Screw Compressors having R134A, R404, R717, R22 and R507 and various other types of refrigerants
- Responsible for Bitzer two stage compressor, Copeland compressor experience and booster stage NH3 experience is a plus
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues on equipment that directly affects cGMP areas and processes
- Performing routine preventative maintenance on all HVAC/R equipment as well as responding to emergency failures
- Partnering with engineering personnel to devise and implement equipment and system improvements
- Generating Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures for safely performing specific maintenance tasks
To qualify, you must have:
- Associate of Applied Science degree in HVAC/R Technology or related field, plus a minimum of 6 years of applicable industrial or commercial HVAC/R experience, or an equivalent combination of education, military training and experience supported by licenses or certificates, plus a minimum of 8 years of experience
- Journeyman level skills in the technical trade of HVAC/R
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control loop schematics, OEM technical manuals, and P&ID drawings
- Capable of creating maintenance procedures in accordance with site and cGMP standards
- PC Proficiency
The position is posted as day shift, but may change to rotating at some time based on Technical Operations requirements. Overtime in addition to shift work will be required when necessary to support assigned business unit objectives and shutdown activities. Shift may change as business conditions warrant providing adequate coverage of assigned business unit. Hepatitis B immunization may be required.
